Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Home X Base app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What Home X Base is

Home X Base is a personal record-keeping tool for your home: appliances, documents, maintenance tasks, issues, costs, and contractor contacts, kept in one place. It is an organizational tool, not a professional service.

Your account

You sign in with your email address and a password. Your email is verified with a one-time code when you create your account. You are responsible for keeping your password and access to your email account secure, and for the accuracy of the information you add. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

Your content

The records, documents, and photos you add are yours. You keep all rights to them. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process, and display that content back to you, which is what operating the Service requires. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising. See the Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled and how to delete it.

You agree not to upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to store, and not to misuse the Service (for example, attempting to access other users' data or disrupting the Service).

AI features, scores, and estimates

Some features use AI to read details from photos you choose to scan, and the app shows reminders, scores, and savings estimates to help you stay on top of maintenance. These outputs can be incomplete or wrong. Always review AI-filled details before saving, and treat scores, estimates, and task suggestions as general information only.

Home X Base does not provide professional advice. Nothing in the Service is a home inspection, or legal, financial, insurance, tax, or contracting advice. For decisions about your home's safety or value, consult a qualified professional.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we ever discontinue the Service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to retrieve your data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Home X Base and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or property value, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (which may be zero for free accounts).

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app (Account, then Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we will update this page and the date above, and for significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
